Ok so I have to do a comparative essay on a book and a film (I chose The Hobbit) .This is a comparison essay exploring to what degree an inherent film is discussed and how it relates to an aspect of the human condition. So my theme is revenge and the arguments are race, heroism and adventure. I don't know how to put this in my thesis...how to make a thesis out of this, since it is a comparative essay
1) Do u think this will be good for my essay? Im doing similarity...so in my body paragraph how should i compare it to my book (THe Hobbit) and movie (THe Hobbit)?
2) Can you help me make a sophisticated thesis out of this info: my theme is revenge and the arguments are race, heroism and adventure
3) Lastly, am i on the right track Ms. Do u think my essay will be right for human condition. Will I be able to have a really nice essay with this information?

Whenever you are writing a comparison (or contrast paper, you need to plan it out very carefully on paper first.
Try this:
1. Write all the information about one of your topics on one page.
2. Write all the information about the other topic on another page.
3. Then put them together in this order:
1. Intro
2. All about topic A
~~~2A. detail 1
~~~2B. detail 2
~~~2C. detail 3
~~~2D. detail 4
~~~2E. detail 5
3. All about topic B
~~~3A. detail 1
~~~3B. detail 2
~~~3C. detail 3
~~~3D. detail 4
~~~3E. detail 5
4. Concl.
The number of details for each side of your topic will vary, depending on your main points. For comparison-only papers, you may end up with only 3 paragraphs in the paper instead of 4.
There are two recognized patterns for writing comparison (or contrast) papers. One is casually referred to as "zig-zag,” but can be very confusing for the reader if you don’t use transitions effectively. The other is topic-by-topic (which is what I've outlined above) and is much easier for the reader to follow.
I doubt that you can effectively compare a book and movie of the same title in light of FOUR different aspects of human beings. I think you should concentrate on two at the most, but not four.
