Mildred has a bag of coins the back contains 10 dimes five Nichols and one penny to randomly select two coins from the bad one at a time with the replacement what is the probability that Mildred Will select the dime first then a penny

6 answers

A 5 cent coin is called a nickel not a Nichol.

10 dimes
5 nickels
1 penny

Prob(dime, then penny)
= (10/16)(1/16)
= 5/128

I recommend that you check your typing, spelling, and grammar in any future posting.
e.g.
bag --> back -->bad
10/16 * 1/15 = 1/24
Heyy Bob how did you get 1/24 sorry it's because I have a test and it asked this quetion and I just wanna now how did you get this answer
Welll ion know I have a test and try to figure this out so is it 5/128 or 1/24?
I think someone should check their math before correcting other people's grammar. 1/24 is correct and 5/128 is incorrect. This is a STAAR released question from 2015. It has an answer key. You don't put the penny back!
