nope. the solid MgCl breaks up into DISSOVLED ions, suspended in the water.
Mg++(aq) + 2Cl-(aq)
MgCl2 (aq) → Mg+2(s) + 2Cl-(g)
are the states right? or would Mg+2 be a (g).
Note: MgCl2 is very soluble.
