Jason watched a caterpillar move 10 feet in 2 minutes. Jason says the caterpillars unit rate is 0.2 feet per minute. Is Jason correct? Explain.

I believe that Jason is correct because:
If you have 2 minutes/10 feet=x/1
10/10=1
2/10=0.2

If you have 10 feet/2 minutes
2/2=1
10/2=5
Then 10 x1=10
2x5=10
5/1=1/1=1 and 5/1=0.2

0.2 as a fraction would be in 1 minute the caterpillar would move 5 feet or 0.2 feet per minute.

Can you tell me if I am correct on this?

Thank you

To me, if it moves "10 feet in 2 minutes," then it would move 5 feet in one minute.

5 ft ≠ .2 ft
it is 5 feet because 10 divided by 2 is 5
