Jamie is a quality control specialist. He is required to check 180 rubber balls out of a shipment of 18,000for defects. He finds that 3 are defective. Of the balls in the bin, he predicts there will be 300 balls defective. What percent if the rubber balls are not defective?

2 answers

3/180 * 100%= % of defective balls
300/1800 *100%= % of defective balls

these two are the same (hence his prediction)

so

100% - % of defective balls = % of balls that are not defective
