Geeshhh,
surely you can edit my solution so it fits your new number !
Jackson bought 3 1/4 pounds of candy for trick-or-treaters. His first trick-or-treater’s costume was so good he decided to give them 5/8 of the candy. Then he split the rest of the bag evenly between the next 12 trick-or-treaters. How much did each of the 12 trick-or-treaters receive?
Edited and fixed. It's 3 1/4 not 3 3/4

amount left after first tricker
= 3/8 of 3 1/4
= (3/8)(13/4)
= 39/32
now we have to divide that by 12
= (39/32) ÷ 12
= (39/32)(1/12)
= 13/128
each of the remaining 12 trickers will get 13/128 lbs of candy
= 3/8 of 3 1/4
= (3/8)(13/4)
= 39/32
now we have to divide that by 12
= (39/32) ÷ 12
= (39/32)(1/12)
= 13/128
each of the remaining 12 trickers will get 13/128 lbs of candy
Now that was easy, wasn't it ?
