When an author (like on T.V., newspapers, magazines) uses the word 'you' throughout the article. Do you find the second person more stylistically satisfying?

Thank you for using the Jiskha Homework Help Forum. It seems an ad using "you" is directed to individuals. Perhaps one would listen more carefully using the second person.
