We don't know what the person's diet is now. How should we know what s/he needs more of? Most of us eat enough protein, although some vegetarians and vegans do need more protein.
I would add that dietary research is largely inconclusive. There is reliable research that indicates a diet with more nuts and olive oil is beneficial. Other than that, most of the advice in recent decades about what's good and bad is open to question.
