In the sentence:"Hay muchas historias sobre dónde y cuándo Piña coladas fueron encontrar," is fueron correct? or do I use eran instead?

fueron is good, concentrating on when they began. However the infinitive "encontrar" will not work here. You need the adjectival form = encontradas (feminine plural to agree with "coladas."

Piñas should also be plural.

Fueran is good. I am not sure about the pina being plural because coladas is already plural. Also like the sra said encontradas should be in the place of encoutrar.
