In the analysis of 0.8503 g of impure chloride containing sample, 1.250 g of AgCl were precipitated out. What is the percent of mass of chlorine in the sample. (FW of AgCl = 143.32 g/mol, FW of Cl =35.453)

mm = molar mass
Do you want chlorine (Cl2) or Cl^-. If you want Cl2 it is
grams Cl2 = grams AgCl x (mm Cl2/mmAgCl)
Then % Cl2 = (grams Cl2/grams sample)*100 = ?
If you want Cl^- (which I think you want) it is
g Cl^- = grams AgCl x (mm Cl/mmAgCl)
Then %Cl = (g Cl^-/g sample)*100 = ?
34.64 percent
