A ratio requires two numbers. I have no idea what you mean by the ratio of one length. Ratio to what other length?

Well, if you know that MN is 12cm long and you have the ratio 4:5. Then when you multiple 4 by 3 you get 12, so then 5 times 3 equals 15. So MP is 15cm long. Also it could look like this 4/5=12/15
