Thanks, I will try posting again. I understand that you are not here to do our homework - but will try to answer any questions that we have in trying to solve the problem. Thanks for the quick response to my question about being Canadian. I will try again if I come across any other problems, mainly Algebra. Thanks again for the quick response. Your northern friend.

Thanks for answering Guru! I get the general idea of active and passive. I cooked dinner. (active) The dinner was cooked by me. (passive--I'm doing the cooking--not the dinner) But I'm still not sure of these sentences... A community center will be opened to everyone. The center is the subject as it is doing the opening (not everyone). So, that is in active voice? There was discussion about the project after the meeting was over. Is the subject really the project? Are (there) was and (the meeting) was over both in passive voice? The project was discussed after the meeting. Is that active voice now? Sorry I'm having a hard time with this. Thanks for your help.

We could resupport them using simple and much more complex 4RT's. But the goverment of Great BU will not supply the money, so no one can mine it. This way, we are adding to climate change because the goverment of Great BU would rather support a musuem of 1980's!

The next question is: The sales representative later indicates that there are 2 times as many homes available with the second floor plan than the first. Write an equation that illustrates this situation. Use the same variables you used in part a. Explain your reasoning. Would this one be x+2y=72?

Alright, here goes nothing. Particle is troche, the process is scansion. Mary ate a little lamb chop is trochaic pentameter. This line of poetry uses metric variation by substituting which of the following feet for the last foot in the line? Mary ate a little lamb chop. is iamb. I wandered lonely as a cloud is trochaic pentameter. Shall I compare thee to a summer's day is dactyllic hexameter. In the back of the room was a boy and a dog is anapestic tetrameter.
Huh. It said that particle is spondee. This is pretty hard -_- but thanks for the help :) I think I'm getting it a little bit.
You might want to expand & add more evidence, but I like it.
An example of how building an empire can lead to a war is Germany's attempt on taking over Europe --> Germany's attempt to take over Europs is an example of how building an empire can lead to war. When two neighbor countries try to build an empire, their expansion plans could contain similar territories. Neither side of these two ultra-nationalistic state would want to give up land to another. Just change up some of the sentences. You're repeating and stating facts in the same manner over and over. Change your sentence structures. :)
Hmm. I think you'd need 3. Say you got the two fake ones in a row. You can't really go off of that since you have nothing to compare it to. So, you'd have to weigh a third to see if they were the real coins or the fake ones. Make sense?
Thanks!
I did the reading, but the first one we have to do a web search and I checked all the sites she recommended and it's not on there. I think it would be all of the above, but it never said. The next one could be unreliable, since she's not like she's being described. And the last one I think is the summoner (I forgot to put him on there)
I need help with the first part.
Part 1: Using the Library, web resources, and/or other materials, find the gas mileage of your dream car or any car of your choice. Let x be the number of miles driven on 60 gallons of gas. By setting up and solving a proportion involving x, find the value of x for the car that you have chosen. State the type of car, the mileage, and show both the set up of the proportion and the steps to solve. Include units with your answer. Cite your sources using APA style. Part 2: An application of a rational function is T = (AB)/(A+B), which gives the time, T, it takes for two workers to complete a particular task where A & B represent the time it would take for each individual worker to complete the identical task. Estimate how long it takes you to complete a task of your choice (house cleaning, mowing, etc.) in a given week. Suppose that Joe is slower than you at the given task and takes three times as long as you do. If you work together, how long would it take you to complete the task? Include the type of job, the time it takes you and Joe individually to complete the job, and the calculations needed to show how long it would take to complete the job if you worked together. Include units with your answer.

I took a speech class last quarter and the focus was on informative speeches and preparing outlines. 1. Introduction - the topic and main point of the message. Can be done with a thesis statement. An overview of what will be talked about. (five to eight sentences for the introduction paragraph). 2. Body - Informative (usually three to five paragraphs) discussing facts relating to the main idea/topic of the message. 3. Conclusion - summary or recap of what as been said and a reminder of the main topic or main point you are trying to convey. Be sure to cite any facts, statistics or quotations that you use.

Three sentences involving: 1. A completely correct simple sentence with an appositive in it about California. 2. A sentence with redundant language about California. 3. A sentence about California with a parenthetical element in it.
Redundant is when two different words are used in a sentence but mean the same thing. ( I cannot think of a sentence for this one.) A parenthetical is an an add-on to a sentence but does not necessarily interrupt it. Is this a good example? California, to say the least, is a great place to raise a family. An appositive is something that identifies a preceding noun. Is this a good example? I live in California, one of the fifty states in the USA.
Yes, my examples for my sentences are in my answer to your previous question above.
My book sure doesn't, that's why I'm searching the internet looking for help.
