1) I really like your last sentence.. however you need to say who says it. You might add " As----- says," Hell of a life.......
2. A conclusion looks at each of the paragraphs and summarizes what you have learned from that paragraph. Much of what you have here is a repetition. I would use the next to the last sentence as the beginning sentence of your conclusion. Then explain what the authors message is and why he is writing about it. Then use your quote..
In conclusion, the novel sets as an oppressive environment where the men in the asylum are ruled by the Nurse. She uses her powers to make the men fearful, passive and emasculated victims. The Nurse wants to accomplish a society of order, conformity, discipline and control. The author depicts a society where leaders take control of people’s freedom. “Hell of a life. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t. Puts a man in one confounded bind” (Source, page number).
