In a well organized essay, analyze the language and rhetorical devices the narrator uses to convey his attitude toward Hester and toward women in general
I felt that my previous thesis was not strong at all and I would like to change it and make it better.
Through the use of rhetorical devices and language, the narrator conveys that Hester and women are strong, admirable, and deserved to be respected.
The narrator conveys his attitude towards Hester through descriptions of her during her isolation. Based on his observations of Hester, the narrator then makes a generalization that women become oppresses because of their over reliance on emotions.
By analyzing Hawthorne's use on language and rhetorical devices, we can establish that the narrator holds women in high esteem, which is found within the passage, in which he concludes that women are powerful and strong and deserve to be respected.
I don't know. I want a strong thesis statement but none seem to show that. Please help come up with a strong thesis statement.
