There are 100 students... and 40 boys.
What is the probability of getting a boy?
Student wears eye glasses. It looks like 40 wear eye glasses so 40/100 again.
I am not sure if the question is two separate problems or they are trying to say .. if you picked a boy and that he wears glasses? That would be a different approach.
In a certain high school class, consisting of 60 girls and 40 boys, it is observed that 24 girls and 16 boys wear eye glasses, if a student is picked at random from this class. What is the probability that student picked at random is a boy, what is the probability that a student wears eye glasses?
