I'm writing an essay looking into why organisations may systematically not hire the best candidate for the job. So far I have only been able to think of positive discrimination as a positive reason. Does any one else have any ideas?

Thank you for using the Jiskha Homework Help Forum. Even though the interviewer may not say so, there could be a racial, color, creed bias. Also the best candidate may cost too much or demand too much. For one reason or another the interviewer may not feel comfortable with the candidate, even jealous that the candidate might replace him/her.
