I'm posting this again today hoping someone can clarify this for me-

I have two question
1.In a dehydration synthesis reaction which of the following occur-
a. hydrogen and oxygen are removed from the reactant
b. water is added to the reactants
c. water is broken down into hydrogen and oxygen
d. both a and c
I think it would definitely be "a" but I don't think its" c" water comes out as the product, correct??
2.In a dehydration synthesis reaction, water is always a product

I think this is true
Thank you for checking
