I know that the answer is 500 golf tees, but I don't understand how this answer was achieved. Please help me understand what I'm supposed to do in this type of problem. (I have no other info given besides the info. in the question).

Ok you have to set it up as a dimensional analysis problem.
So it will be (144 tees)(412.50g)/(118.80g) and the answer is 500.
