1.Can something have energy without having momentum? -No, it can have P.E. and no K.E., however if the object has no K.E. then it doesn’t have no velocity therefore it has no momentum. 3. If a 20 kg object fell to the surface of the Earth from a height of 30 m, what would its final velocity be? (work this problem from the standpoint of linear motion.) -I got 24.23 m/s 4. If a 20 kg object fell to the surface of the Earth from a height of 30m, what would its final velocity be? (work this problem from the energy standpoint.) Should you get the same answer as you did in question 3? (This one I am not too sure) -I got 39.60 m/s
5.f(x) = x^4 - 16x^2 7.x^4 + 5x^3 - 84x^2 = 0
solve this please
I know the top one is 15 because is goes 3 then 2 down then add 3 to the previous number(3) so that's 6 then 2 down etc. for the second one i don't think its 12 i think its 9 because it goes up from 3 to 12 then starts counting down then when it gets to 3 it counts up again so the next one after 6 would be 9 :)
So would the answer be the smallest one means the one that is the least tall?
what is greater5.7 or 5.69
I have that same exact question I need to answer, but I'm not sure how to answer it because it's not in my text book. :( Help?
thanks
Voting for Obama is no better. He has promised change. What Change? What has he done for you lately?By the way, Bush is not responsible for America being in the shape it is.Maybe you need to check out your history a little better.

Ok you have to set it up as a dimensional analysis problem. So it will be (144 tees)(412.50g)/(118.80g) and the answer is 500.

if you distribute the 6 it would look like this: (6 x 30) + (6 x 7) 6 x 30 = 180 6 x 7 = 42 When you add 180 & 42, you get 222
If you look at these decimals as money (coins) it will probably be easier - you will have to change the 8/10 into 0.80 first I would put that first & the 0.888 last also, you have 0.81 2x in your answer 8/10, 0.81, 0.8181, 0.888
you can change all the fractions so that they have common denominators (bottom numbers)then compare the numerators (top numbers). Considering you are in 4th grade, I am wondering if the 2nd fraction (3/50) is supposed to be 3/5?
Do you know how to change a fraction into a decimal without using the calculator?
for 3/7, it would be the same as saying 3 divided by 7 You would get the answers that Ms. Sue came up with if you did that for each fraction. Then, if you thought of each of those answers as money, it should be easy to put them in order.
in math, the word of means times so you would multiply 1/3 x 9 & 2/5 x 25. To set these problems up, you would change the whole numbers (9 & 25) into fractions, so you would have 1/3 x 9/1 for the first one, and 2/5 x 25/1 for the second one. When you line them up on your paper, you can either multiply straight across the tops & the bottoms then reduce, or you can cross-cancel before you multiply. Have you done cross-canceling?
Do you mean how many single shakes could she make with 3 cups of syrup, then how many double shakes could she make, and how many triples? Or, do you need to mix and match the shake sizes?
A player kicks a football with an inital velocity of 3.00 m/s at an angle of 60.00 degress above the horizontal distance traveled by the football?
thank you
Thank you
We just started this today but how did you get 2log4 16 = 2 *2 = 4 Thank you
Thank you
It was written as 4 and then the log(4)8 was raised so how do I do it-I'm really confused now The choices were 4 0 8 1
yes, I forgot the symbol-thank you
Thank you so much!
I think I am plugging the problems in wrong I am not getting the correct answer?
That worked. Thank you

A is not the answer. If it was it wouldn't have been marked wrong on my test
There are no parentheses! It's exactly as stated 2 over 5x plus 1 over 9 2/5x + 1/9
You need the kinematic equations to solve this problem. Also, you can either calculate this assuming that the time it takes for the sound is negligible, or you can calculate it as two parts. If you calculate assuming the sound is instantaneous: V(initial)=0m/s V(final)=doesn't matter a = 9.8m/s^2 d = ? t = 4s d=0*(4)+0.5*9.8*4^2 d=78.4m If you assume that the time for the sound matters, then here is what you do: Total time = 4s = T1 + T2 Time for object to fall V(initial)=0m/s V(final)=doesn't matter a = 9.8m/s^2 d = ? t = T1 d=0*(4)+0.5*9.8*T1^2 Next: Time for sound V = 364 m/s d = d t = 4 - T1 V*t = d 364*(4-T1) = d 1456 - 364*T1 = d T1 = (1456 - d)/364 Now put the two together: d=0*(4)+0.5*9.8*[(1456 - d)/364]^2 You'll probably have to use the quadratic equation to solve for d, and I doubt it will make more than a meter of difference. Hope this helps.
To clarify, are you saying that the have to be composed of three single digit numbers? Also, if one number has more than one acceptable composition, is it counted once of multiple times towards the 50? For example, 24 could be 2*3*4 or it could be 8*3*1; does that count as 1 or 2 examples?
What are we dividing? 41 is a prime number, so factoring will be difficult.
I'm assuming you are not using zero or negative numbers as components. So then you have to think of all the combinations of 3 of the 9 single number digits, where 1 can only be used once. For example: 1*2*2 1*2*3 1*2*4 1*2*5 1*2*6 1*2*7 1*2*8 1*2*9 There's 8 possibilities already, and as you can see there are eight more for 1*3*X. Therefore, it's safe to assume that there are many more than 50 possibilities.
The sum of the digits of 36 is 9. You are looking for a number that is between 36 and 45 and whose digits add up to 9. You could just run through the possibilities. 37 -> 10 38 -> 11 39 -> 12 40 -> 4 41 -> 5 42 -> 6 43 -> 7 44 -> 8 45 -> 9 There you have it, the answer is 45.
I believe the answer is yes (assuming I read the question correctly). For example: 3*(4+5) = 3*(9) = 27 or 3*(4+5) = 3*(4)+3*(5) = 12+15 = 27
I think you need to provide the correct formulae for this one. I would link to some useful info, but this site doesn't allow linking.

My guess is that since 55% is bound, that means 45% is free. So... make a ratio and solve for x .45/1.10mM = .55/x Whatever x equals, add it to 1.10mM since we are looking for the total calcium in serum. What do you think?
Thank you... Any ideas on ISE vs. flame photometry? I was thinking that maybe flame photometry comes out consistently slightly lower because it is hard to standardize? I mean, its hard to get the exact temperature of the flame to be precise (and accurate)?

customers in 14 years = 51,200 (1-0.038)^14 Did they give you a formula for this?
same thing as the other one i answered the general case is: new value = (old value)X(1+/-percent change)^years remember that 1% = 0.01 in the above formuala, and that it's negative if it's "decreasing/depreciating" and positive if it's growing.

where does the rate law and rate constant come into play?
Book doesn't have an answer for this one. Im just lost as to how to apply the ideal gas law to the rate law and constant. P=MRT => 155atm=(2mol)(0.0821)(298k)?
