    your keyboard has a perfectly good "x" key. Use it for variables, since "×" is the multiplication symbol. And the same for "-" (minus). "_" is not a minus sign.
logx - log(2x-1) = 1
log x/(2x-1) = 1
x/(2x-1) = 10
x = 20x - 10
x = 19/10

logx - log(2x-1) = 1
log x/(2x-1) = 1
x/(2x-1) = 10
x = 20x - 10
x = 19/10

    looks like you mean:
logx - log(2x - 1) = 1
log (x/(2x-1) ) = 1
x/(2x -1) = 10
20x - 10 = x
19x = 10
x = 10/19

logx - log(2x - 1) = 1
log (x/(2x-1) ) = 1
x/(2x -1) = 10
20x - 10 = x
19x = 10
x = 10/19
