the rate of delivery is 150 g h^-1
so the length of time is
3000 g/150 g h^-1
20 h
Note the unit conversion to g.
Note that the unit g cancels and we end up with just h, unit of time, which is what we want.
if a feeder gives food at 15o g every hour and it holds 3 kg of food for how many hours will it be activated?

do you mean how many hours will it take for the feeder to give all of the food he/she is holding? if so,
then we first convert 3 kg to grams:
1 kg = 1000 g ; thus
3 kg = 3000 g
now we divide 3000 by 150 to get the time needed:
3000 / 150 = 20 hours
hope this helps~ :)
