Yes! we can set up the equation 3x+40+4x+5=395 and solve to get 7x+45=395 7x=350 so x=50 When we plug it in to check, we get 3(50)+40+4(50)+5=395 so the answer must be correct!
no, I is just like I wrote it
Thank you for the advice. I will do that.
Ok I will get this typed out. 1. Suppose you are in the market for a new home and are interested in a new housing community under construction in a different city. a) The sales representative informs you that there are two floor plans still available, and there are a total of 56 houses available. Use x to represent floor plan #1 and y to represent floor plan # 2. Write an equation that illustrates the situation. b) The sales representative later indicates that there are 3 time as many homes available with the second floor plan than the first.Write an equation that illustrates this situation.Use the same variables you used in part a. c) Use the equations from part a and b of this exercise as a system of equations. Use substitution to determine how many of each type of floor plan is available.Describe the steps you used to solve the problem. d) What are the intercepts of the equation from part a of this problem? What are the intercepts from part b of this problem? Where would the lines intersect if you solved the system by graphing? 2. Asd you are leaving the community, you notice another new community just down the street.Because you are in the area, you decide to inquire about it. a) The sales representative here tells you they also have two floor plans available, but they only have 38 homes available. Write an equation that illustrates the situation. Use x and y to denote floor plan #1 and floor plan #2 respectively. b) The representative tells you that floor plan #1 sells for $175,000 and floor plan #2 sells for $200,000. She also mentions that all the available houses combined are worth $7,200,000. Write an equation that illustrates this situation. Use the same variables you used in part a. c) Use elimination to determine how many houses with each floor plan are available. Explain how you arrived at your answer. 3. You recently started the paperwork to purchase your new home, and you were just notifies that you can move into the house in 2 weeks. You decide to hire a moving company, but are unsure of which company to choose. You search online and are interested in contracting two companies, Heavy Lifters and Quick Move, to discuss there rates. Heavy Lifter charges an $80 dollar fee and $35 dollars per hour. Quick Move charges $55 dollar per hour with no additional fees. a) Which mover provides a better deal four 2 hours of work? How did you arrive at your answer? b) Which mover provides a better deal for 15 hours of work? How did you arrive at your answer? c) For what values h (hours) does Quick Move offer the better deal? Express your answer as an inequality. Explain how you reached your answer.
I think the answer to this question might be because bromide ions are better leaving groups than chloride ions. Someone please help clarify for me! Thanks in advance.
What is The Answer To This Question Below? Evaluate (m-3.2)(m+4.1)when m=-4.1
How would you answer this: 5/a=?/a2to the second power.
I forgot to put this in the question i asked. Here it is again. 5/a=?/a 2power Write an equivenlant expression to this.
Would you please explain further I am lost?
Thank you for your help, it is width. So i take the 2and times it by the 27. With that answer figure out the difference between the 2 times 27 and minus from 100 then divid by 2. Is this the way to figure out the problem?
Is this a metaphor or imagery? "The ground is wet, and smells of smoke; it feels soft and spongy to his touch."
thank you. so what did you get as a final answer for this problem then? and what did u do after doing 2.2=2PHN3 and after subsituting the partial pressure?? Thanks
a*a = a^2? yes? No? Or is it (m + 4) (2a – 2)
Why would it be this because a*a is 2a? I thought at first it is a^2? Can you please explain, thanks!
There is no division necessary here? So the final answer is what is @ the bottom? (5x^-1)-3 (-2+1=-1, and -1+1=0)
So no 1 goes above that? as in 1 ------- 2^2*7^8?
Where did you get 3m from? The problem reads Simplify (p^-4+m p^2m)^-4 ---------------- (p^-4)^-m Theses are the choices A) p-16m + 16 B) p-8m – 4 C) p-11m – 4 D) p-3m + 16 I say its A or B
What about breaking the fractions a part like this? 5x -2 - 3y -1 = 5 - 3 ----------------- x -1 + y -1 ------- x^2 y --------------------- 1 + 1 ------------ x y = 5y+3x^2 * x^2 y -------- x+y x^2 y(5y+3x) = 5xy^2 + 3x^2 y
Ok but the answer is typed incorectly choice A is p^-16+16 not = p^16-16m
Is it the same thing? I don't know, but my first choice was A. I still do not understand how (p-4+m p2m)-4 / (p-4)-m = (p-4+3m)-4 / p4m = p^16-12m / p^4m where does the 12 fit in? and how does the answer end up as A? = p16-16m
THANKS!
Thank you for all your help! :)
Thanks for your help :)
what about this one? I'm having a tough time with this one as well... Solve by substitution or elimination method: -2x + 6y = 19 10x – 30y = -15
with the first one was i suppose to multiply it by -3? i multiplied the first equiation by 15 and the second by -5. does it matter?
so can you tell me if this is correct.... 4x – 5y = 14 -12x + 15y = -42 15(4x – 5y = 14) = 60x – 75y = 210 5(-12x +15y = -42) = -60x + 75y = -210 60x – 75y = 210 + -60x + 75y = -210 = 0 The equations are not independent therefore they have an infinite solution set.
would it be correct to say that the equations are not independent therefore they have an infinite solution set.
-2x7= -3 +t+24 -14= =3+t+24 -11= t+24 -35= t
Thanks so much for the help=)
I know this was already answered, but the child would be possessive if she does not share her toys. It is the synomem for "overprotective"
An exoskeleton.
I think that would be called heredity.
Sorry about that! here it is again! 1/x+2 + 4/x^2-4
1/4^n then change from positive to negative alternatively. then sequence shown goes to n=5.. therefore the next value at n=6 should be -1/4^6 = -1/1024

i don't understand how to combine the like terms and how to solve the equation, 6(g-6)=5g-2-g
no, I don't think so because the sentence doesn't sound good with it. You can just leave "the" out and the sentence will sound fine.
what do you mean by its postive? can it be negative? so if "imos" is added to the ending of a word that just is like saying "very" ?
what is the different in parenting styles like authoritative, authoritarian, or permissive. Describe how three adults, each brought up under different parenting styles
Is C the quotient function of f/g?
oh yeah i meant to leave that out bc i was too lazy to type in the rest of the spanish sentence.."y dobla a la izquieda" So yeah see it isnt you, usted means he/she/it. If it was you then they should accept vas. Im really dissapointed they made such a stupid mistake...(it is a mistake isnt it?)
Is it -3 or -3/26? I ran this problem through 2 calculators online and they both came up with -3/26? Can you explain why its only -3? Thanks
It is typed as follows: 4 1 5 --- + --- = --- 3-x x+9 3-x So is the answer -3/26 or just -3?
That got all messed up. 4 is on top of the 3-x, 1 is over x+9, and 5 is over 3-x respectively So is the answer still -3 or -3/26? Thank you!
What did i do wrong? I am confused to the fact that -3 is the answer and not -3/26?
There are no brackets, parenthases, exponents, in this problem. Would this make a difference?
So when we do this the answer will be -3 then? and NOT -3/26? Am i understanding this correctly? Thanks for your help!
is there anyway to attach papers?
thanks
I DID READ IT how dare you accuse me of feeble efforts. As I said before(which makes me doubt if you read my response) "If it was you then they should accept vas" Also if Udsted is you why didn't you group it with tu on the chart not with el/ella but since then I was doing a greetings thing on a different program and you use udsted when talking to like an old person or someone who needs respect. So I guess I kind of get it...its respectful not to refer to them directly almost, even though you are, so you say udsted which is "you" formal. So that was helpful of you
the first part I see you point but that other sentence should have been "mi" bc it would have translated perfectly... Another question...a sentence says: "I can go down the pole/ Yo puedo deslizarme por el poste" I can go down the pole belonging to me? She's in the park lol. And the pg right next to it has a boy going down steps and they don't use the "me" on the end of the verb. Also...another pg it says "I can clean my room."/ "Yo puedo arreglar mi cuarto" Would it have been acceptable to use arreglarme?
I read through the fallacy definitions. All i need to know if my answer is correct or not. If not then I will go back and reread again. Fallacies is difficult
that would translate as "i can clean MY room myself" thxxx
for the explanation :)
