just use the formula:
KE = 1/2 mv^2
m = 2135 lb*.45359 kg/lb = 968.4 kg
v = 55 mi/hr * 1609.3 m/mi * 1 hr/3600s = 24.59 m/s
KE = .5 * 968.4 * 24.592 kg-m^2/s^2 = 292780J = 292.78kJ
i need help setting this problem up i know what the answer is but need to know how to get to it.
