I had to write a summary (~150 words) for english on the first chapter of Pride and Prejudice. Could someone please check it for me and tell me what's good/bad?

Mrs.Bennet tries to make him reconsider but is unsuccessful; he provokes her and tells her he'll send a few lines of assurance of his consent to marrying whichever daughter.
