If your AirPods are displaying a solid blue light even after disconnecting them from your tablet, it indicates that they are still in pairing mode or are trying to connect to a device. Here’s what you can do to resolve the issue:
-
Turn Off Bluetooth on Your Tablet: Go to the Bluetooth settings on your tablet and turn off Bluetooth. This will disconnect the AirPods and prevent them from attempting to connect to your device.
-
Put AirPods Back in Case: Place your AirPods back in their charging case. This will help reset their connection status.
-
Close the Lid: After placing them in the case, close the lid and wait for about 30 seconds.
-
Check the Light Status: Open the case again. If the light is still solid blue, it may be in a problematic state. Ideally, it should show a white blinking light (indicating it's ready to pair) or no light if they are charged and in standby mode.
-
Reset the AirPods: If the light remains solid blue, you can reset your AirPods:
- With the AirPods in the charging case, open the lid.
- Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until the light flashes amber and then white. This may take about 15 seconds.
-
Reconnect: After resetting, you can reconnect the AirPods to your desired device by going to the Bluetooth settings and selecting your AirPods.
If the solid blue light persists after resetting the device, consider reaching out to Apple Support for further assistance, as there may be a hardware issue.
