this is opinion essay:
I believe nuclear power is the best, safest, most reliable, current technology to provide energy. The plants operating are safe and the new designs are even safer. Building 100’s of new nuclear power plants would improve the economy, reduce or eliminate dependence on foreign oil, create jobs, reduce pollution, and provide for future technological advancement.
As fossil fuels and other sources of energy continue to disappear or cause a severe case of solution, a new method is needed. For decades, fossil fuels and other sources have the reason why we have the greenhouse effect around the world. The nuclear energy not only gives us final amount of energy, but it also gives us less drawback effects such as air pollution and it is cheapest option around the world. I understand that there are lots of dangerous risks when we use the nuclear energy for many things. We need to understand that everything has an opportunity cost. A coal power plant releases 100 times more radiation into the air than nuclear power plant which is producing the same amount of energy.
We must give up on something to gain something else. It is necessary and almost required for us to use the nuclear plant to gain the massive amount of energy. The technologies develop everyday, we are going to use more energy than it is required as time goes by. Although we risk our lives to danger of nuclear energy, we can’t do anything to stop using it. Unless we create a new system, or a source of energy is discovered. From one small amount of uranium can give lots of energy, its good to the economy.
Although the nuclear energy helps us ease the energy issues from all over the world, it is also hazardous to those who work in the power plants and the nearby communities includes animals. There are different kinds of species that are mutated, which we don’t know about, and the harmful effects are still unknown. There are some countries have decided to collect the waste and store it in an underground warehouse. But the amount of nuclear waste is very expensive and difficult to dispose of it.
All countries are competing to hold most nuclear weapons such as Russia who holds the most nuclear weapons which is estimated about 6,850. Countries who have the nuclear weapons claim they use it for security reasons. The nuclear weapons combined is enough to destroy the world several times. The threat of nuclear weapons makes the world at peace, but nuclear power provides everyone a cheap and clean energy.
The advantages are low pollution, low operating costs, reliability and safe, does not contribute to global warming, low fuel quantity which reduces mining and transportation effects on environment High technology research required benefits other industries, Power station has very long lifetime, leaves small amount of waste. The disadvantages are waste is radioactive and safe disposal is very difficult and expensive, risk of an accident, toxicity, construction and operational cost, the nuclear waste remains dangerous for thousands of years, can cause birth defects if working at a power plant, a long-lasting radiation.
In conclusion, nuclear energy is helpful to humans especially on energy problems. While it also makes hazards, which threatens all human’s and animal’s life. Nuclear plants can bring jobs and wealth to a country, which provides the whole world with electricity.

The opposing viewpoint is some thing else is the best, safest, most reliable. You did gloss the disadvantages, but I don't read the opposing viewpoint in here...an opinion essay ought to fairly discuss the opposing viewpoint(s). iMO

Spell out numbers unless you're including specific percentages, money, or any other math-dependent numbers.

Huh? I think you mean "pollution," right? Make sure you're not depending on any form of spell check or word suggestion elements in your word processing program.
