I am in third grade and have a word problem that I don't understand. There is a picture of a retangular window with 12 little squares inside divided by wood. The question is how many feet of lights would be needed to hang around five windows like this one. There are no dimensions given for the window....just a picture. Please help!

I am just as lost as you are. Insufficient data.
I can't see your picture, but to look like a common window it is probably 3 ft wide and 4 feet high.
(3x4 = 12)
It could also be 6 by 2, but that would look rather strange as a window.
You decide by looking at the picture.
Now how far is it around one window
I count: 3+3+4+4 = 14 feet for one window
but you have 5 of those,
so what is 5x14 ?
