I am coming up with a sample debate topic outline(not too elaborate) for class- and it must be on a current, global issue. I am thinking on addressing the currency fluctuations, but I don't really understand how any of it works, the current situation, or it's significance.

Could someone PLEASE explain to me the current situation- which country's currency is most affected, and how it influences the global economy etc. and maybe provide a few good links to articles?
