How much water should be added to 55.0 mL of 0.201 M HCl to dilute the solution to 0.155 M?
i used M1V1 = M2V2 and i got 71.3mL
its wrong so im confused

71.3 mL is the final volume, not the amount of water added to achieve that volume. Does that help?
