If by "overtake" you mean pass until the rear of the car has passed the front of the truck, then:
50km/hr = 50000/3600 = 13.888m/s
The car is traveling 13.8888m/s faster than the truck, so it takes (10+10+3)/13.8888 = 1.656 sec for the rear bumper of the car to pass the front of the truck.
50km/hr = 50000/3600 = 13.888m/s
The car is traveling 13.8888m/s faster than the truck, so it takes (10+10+3)/13.8888 = 1.656 sec for the rear bumper of the car to pass the front of the truck.
