how is "young love" by andrew marvell and "of holiness of life" by john bunyan, both the same in politcal, poetic and thematic sense?
thank you!

I think it's a bit of a stretch to compare the two. Bunyan is rejecting all influences except faith in the Christian God. Marvell is rejecting influences, even the Crown (the monarch or government), into the innocence of pure love, which he contends must rule the heart. So both reject artificial, exterior influences over something deeply and personally held. Marvell is not talking about religion as Bunyan is, but the themes are somewhat similar. Do you agree?
i kind of understand. but what does reject artificial exterior means?
