How is an inequality different from an equation? Give a real-world scenario in which you would write an inequality rather than an equation.

I really need to know how an inequality is different from an equation. I know the signs used are different, but what else? I am very confused! Please help!

equation says two things are equal
x+y = 3

inequality says they are not, and in what way.

x+y <= 3
x/2 > y+7

The big clue is equality and inequality
If there is minus the inequality sign will change while equation dose not change e.g a<-3 that is a>-3 while a=-3 also a=-3
I need help with some math how do I make a question thing
