Hi. Is this okay?
How is an inequality different from an equation? Give a real-world scenario in which you would write an inequality rather than an equation.
Equations and Inequalities are similar but different things. And equation is a mathematical sentences with an equal sign. An inequality is a mathematical sentences in which contaibs with <, >, ≤ ≥≠. A real life example would be:
Madeline has $45. She wants to get a gift for Lauren, Emma, and Jenna. She needs to know that she has enough money.
3x≤$45
3x/3=$45/3
x=$15
This means that Madeline can spend a maximum of $15 on each person.

inequalities may have a range of solutions, equations have specific solutions.
No on your example, she could spend one dollar on one, 30 dollars on the second, and then the rest on the third.
x+y+z<= $45 is a better inequality....

Would this sound better?
An airline says you can only have 50 lb. Per person on a flight. You pack a 38 lb. bag. How much can your second bag weigh?
38 + b ≤ 50
38 + b - 38 ≤ 50 - 38
b ≤ 11 lb.
This means if the first bag weighs 38 lbs., the second bag can only weigh 11 lbs.
