How does the medium in which you are communicating your message influence your writing and editing styles? I think it means medium of writing is what type of writing the person is doing. But I am not sure help please :-) I am a little confused.

In continuing with the medium question twitter I say I like Paris but email to my boss I like Paris because of the food and scenery. College formal essay I go into depth of why I like Paris. Is that difference?

Right. You might also not capitalize and punctuate your Twitter or Facebook the same way you would a more formal message.
