how do you solve for x here?

ln(5 - 7x) = -1
some help would be appreaciated thanks!

1 answer

I would take the ln 5 - ln7x=-1
1.609-ln7x = -1
-ln7x = -1-1.609 = -2.609
ln7x=2.609
Now take the antilog of both sides. I assume you can take it from here.
