Subtract 3 from both sides of the equation.

x + 3 = 0

-3 + 3 = 0

x = -3

All you have to say is what minus 3 will give me 0
what if i wanted to graph the equation?

how would i do that?
x = -3, y = anything at all
so
vertical line through (-3,0)
