How do I find potential energy of a car at the speed when collision occurs if the kinetic energy during the collision at 28 mph is 119,879.08 Joules?

There is more to this problem that you are not telling us. Did it slide down off a hill?
never specified.
"the car hits the deer before Ima can fully stop. Her speed is 28 mph when the collision occurs."
"the car hits the deer before Ima can fully stop. Her speed is 28 mph when the collision occurs."
would it be 0 since the height doesn't change throughout?
If it did not use the engine but simply rolled down the hill then
m g h = (1/2) m v^2 = potential energy at top = kinetic energy at bottom = 119,879.08 Joules
m g h = (1/2) m v^2 = potential energy at top = kinetic energy at bottom = 119,879.08 Joules
thanks
I do not see any potential energy involved if it all happens on a flat road and there are no springs involved.
