During WWII, the aircraft industry in the Dallas-Ft Worth area with general dynamics led the need for technology and education. Shortly after the war, the automotive industry in that same area fueled a great need for technology. Additionally, in the Houston-Galveston area, medical hospitals grew a great need for technology in those fields, and combined, these grew the needs for our educational system to develop the training system to produce people to meed thsed needs.
