I agree with Ms. Sue. I don't like any of the answers. I don't think Mann intended any of those things. But, you have to choose one of them. How close does one of the answers come to what we know of Mann's writings and thoughts? Read the bio that Ms. Sue posted for you, then decide. And I assure you, neither of us is lazy! Actually, you're all wrong. The answer is D. Horace Mann thought that education was more important than religion. He thought that reforming American education would make them better than Christians. Read the American History Textbook.
