Hi!

I was wondering after you simplify a radical, can you add the rest of the equation to whats outside of the radical?
ex. 20 + 10√35
Would that be 30√35 or would it stay as 20+10√35

Thank you in advance, this is really bugging me! :)

No, √35 is a number like any other, so it has to be included

Just as 20+10x is not 30x,
20 + 10√35 is not 30√35

20√35 + 10√35 = 30√35

20+10√35 = 10(2+√35)
