What are your three main points to prove your thesis?

The last sentence of your introductory paragraph is your thesis statement. I am assuming that it will be something to the effect that salutary neglect was a major cause of the American Revolution.

As you do your research on this topic,
you will jot down the major happenings that support this thesis. Then organize them in order of importance. Those will be your supporting paragraphs.
