Question

I have to create a thesis statement comparing the stories "The Story of an Hour" and "The Open Window". I must convey which story (in my opinion) had the most twisted ending.

Does this sound appropriate?

"While both 'The Story of an Hour' and 'The Open Window' exhibited twisted plots, 'The Story of an Hour' possessed the most unexpected ending."

Does it need more details??

If you are planning to have your thesis statement be the last sentence in your introductory paragraph, then give the titles of the stories earlier in the paragraph, and omit them from the first part of your thesis statement.

Hello & thank you both for responding.

I do not have to write an intro paragraph or essay, mainly my teacher is wanting just a thesis statement expressing why I believe "The Story of an Hour" had a more unexpected ending than that of "The Open Window".

Does this sound acceptable?

"The Story of an Hour possessed the most unexpected ending with the shocking appearance of Mrs. Mallard's husband after being informed of his sudden death"
