(b) Factor the expression completely. 20b - 16

Multiply the terms in parentheses by 4.

12x + 8 - 2

Combine like terms
12x + 6

4(3x+2) -2
first distributive property
12 x + 8 - 2
then combine like terms
12 x + 6
==============
20b - 16
well 20 = 4*5 and 16 = 4*4
so
4*5*b - 4*4
reverse that distributive property trick now to take out greatest common factor
4 ( 5 b - 4)

and for (b) it says to Factor it completely would Damon still be right then?
