H3C6H5O7(aq) + 3 NaHCO3(aq) ¨ Na3C6H5O7(aq) + 3 H2O(l) + 3 CO2(g) How do you go about calculating theoretical yield of carbon dioxide from 1.00g of sodium bicarbonate andthe percentage yield

mols NaHCO3 - grams/molar mass
Use the coefficients to convert moles NaHCO3 to mols CO2.
mols CO2 = mols NaHCO3 x (3 mol CO2/3 mol NaHCO3) = mols NaHCO3 x (3/3) = ?
Convert mols CO2 to grams. g = moles x molar mass. This is the theoretical yield of CO2.
You can't do percent yield unless you have the actual yield in the problem and you just didn't post that part.
%yield = (actual yield in g/theoretical yield)*100 = ?

Or have I misinterpreted the problem? You want to calculate theoretical yield and you have percent yield?
I what to calculate them both, just don't understand how to
Follow my instructions to calculate theoretical yield, then plug the actual yield you have into the second equation I wrote to obtain % yield.
okay thanks. one more question how do you convert moles NaHCO3 to mols CO2
mols NaHCO3 = mols CO2
