Greetings:

I was wondering how to calculate the weight/volume % of vinegar using the formula ---------------w/v Per Cent = g/100 mL or grams per deciliter:
WHAT WEIGHT DO I USE NaOH, Acetic ACID?
the data include:
volume of NaOH needed to neutralize Vingegar : 14.24 mL
Volume of Vinegar titrated: 5 mL
molarirty of the vinegar : 0.7776128491 mol/L

Calculated W/V % (g/100 mL) Acetic Acid? _____

Thank you for your help!

Assuming you have determined the molarity accurately (I assume you titrated the vinegar with the NaOH), you have M = # mols/L. How many mols are in the 5 mL sample? That will be 0.7776 x 0.005 L = ?? and that times the molar mass of acetic acid will give you grams acetic acid in the 5 mL. Multiply that by 100/5 to convert to g/100 and g/100 is percent. Check my thinking.
