I think the answer is C.

I disagree. Remember there's a lot of oil in the Arctic.
There are only three countries in North America. The climate varies greatly in both Canada and the United States. Both have very strong economies. Mexico has a weaker economy, but is that due to climate? Figure it out.

The Caribbean islands and Central America are also part of North America.

The best answer is d.
Greenland is also considered part of North America.

Yes, you're right, the Caribbean is part of North America, and so is Greenland. I mis-spoke. Central America is called that for reason, however. It's not South America, but is usually considered it's own, what, subcontinent?

But I agree, the best answer is D.
