for my stats exam, we are NOT allowed to use a scientific or graphing cal, my professor will give us those cheap calculator from the 99cent store. I wanted to know how can i calculate e^-4.7? on my scientific it says it0.009095

but on my cheap calculator.. here is what i did.. for the -4.7 i did 1/4.7= 0.2127659

e= 2.72 <--given by professor

I did the following:

2.72 x 0.2127659 = i get 0.5787232 and NOT 0.009095

Well scientific calculators are just that scuentific!! You cant exspect a diffucult problems answer to appear on a cheap one because i am nit lying i typedm 30x 2 and it told me15 they can be faulty
Well if your cheap calculator has a exponent.
You could do 2.72^-4.7
You get 0.0090683057
It's pretty close!
