For an assignment, I had to write a discussion so here is my discussion. My question is: How would YOU respond to my discussion in a good college paragraph.

With cultural blending and exchange comes a lot of change in a culture. This was acceptable in some areas and unwelcoming in other areas. India, for instance, was the crossroads of Afro-Eurasia. This means that they were very active in trade, uniting diverse people, and welcoming societies (India and Islamic Areas). India was also known as “mosaic of cultures” because of their skill for integrating others into the society (Indian Society Under Globalization).

China on the other hand was not very accepting of change. Even though China participated in trade, they drew a sharp distinction between Chinese and non-Chinese people. They were less enthusiastic to diversity, globalization, and exchange (China and Europe). With the religion aspect, the Catholic Church dominated life and did not welcome non-Christians (China and Europe). Because China did not embrace cultural exchange and did not accept non-Chinese, the Chinese education reinforced the superiority of Chinese people and the inferiority of everyone else (Song Chinese Society). This makes it well known that the Chinese society was not open to cultural blending.

The main reason why the Chinese were not accepting was because at the time they thought they were better than everyone else and believed their way of life was the only way of life. In the Islamic World, we can see an iron pillar from the fourth century still standing. This shows that they accepted past architecture and in some cases retained anthropomorphic imagery, which was normally forbidden by Islam (Architecture of the Delhi Sultanate). Throughout time they began to use other architectural forms, like the pillars or arches of Indian tradition, to show their acceptance and blending of other cultures (Architecture of the Delhi Sultanate). This is another example of how the India and Islamic cultures were accepting and the Europe and Chinese cultures were not.

Read it over for punctuation, grammar and word usage. This is not college-level writing.
Despite this discussion... I literally meant.. how would you respond to this topic or about this topic. I was not referring to the punctuation, grammar, and word usage but yes I'll go back to look through any errors.
