Read the story carefully--as you will be required to answer a series of questions relative to the story in a subsequent assignment. Highlight all unfamiliar terms as you read--that is, terms you cannot define and/or pronounce. After you complete the reading, (1) make a list of all unfamiliar words, (2) provide a dictionary pronunciation for all unfamiliar words, and (3) define each word in context (that is, based on how the word is used within a sentence) using a one-word definition or a short phrasal definition. If you can pull one word out of the definition to adequately define the term, then do so (this is a basic skill). Do not cite long, drawn-out definitions that you cannot remember. Your list of terms should include approximately 15 terms or more.
