Without the diagram, we have no way of knowing.
I'll take a stab at it. Assuming the vertices are labeled ABCD in order, and the sides are listed in the same order, starting with AB, then we have to have opposite sides equal:

2x-2 = 5y-8
y+24 = x+2

x = 116/3
y = 50/3

Awkward, but it's a solution.
